Trust HR and Payroll Manager – Fiona Mitchell
‘ We are the first contact for all recruitment enquiries, interviews etc. Our open door policy ensures staff feel welcome at all times. As the ongoing point of contact for all staff related matters we guarantee staff feel safe, supportive so staff are able to seek non-judgemental support and guidance.’

Led by a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience, the HR team within the School Trust brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their role, ensuring smooth and effective human resources management. Their professional demeanour is evident in their approach to handling various HR matters, from recruitment to performance management.
Despite their extensive experience, the HR team maintains a friendly and approachable manner, understanding the importance of fostering positive relationships within the Trust. This friendly disposition helps put both staff and administration at ease when seeking assistance or guidance, creating an environment where employees feel comfortable approaching HR with any concerns.
A key strength of the HR team is their flexibility, understanding that every situation is unique and may require a tailored approach. Whether it’s implementing new policies, addressing conflicts, or accommodating individual needs, they demonstrate a willingness to adapt and find solutions that work for everyone involved. This flexibility, coupled with their person-centred approach, fosters inclusivity and respect throughout the organisation. Additionally, the HR team is open to change, embracing new ideas and practices to enhance the Trust’s functioning, whether through technology adoption, innovative training methods, or policy revisions aligned with best practices.
At RAISE Education Trust we deliver a high quality HR service which enables each school to provide its staff with the most effective working conditions and its students an environment in which to achieve the best outcomes.
